Lahore: University of Education, Quality Enhancement Cell in
connection with World Quality Day organized a training workshop on
“Academic Quality Assurance and Outcome Based Education” in Township
Campus.
Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Rauf-i-Azam participated as
chief guest while renowned educationist and Chief Executive Pakistan
Institute of Quality Control (PIQC) Dr. Karman Musa was guest speaker
and facilitator. Dr. Kamran Musa gave a detailed lecture to participants
regarding the further improvements of education system and quality
education in varsities, possible reforms and how academic activities
could be improved in good manner.
Addressing the workshop, Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Rauf-i-Azam said
that the role of teachers in promoting quality education is of great
importance. The core concept of quality is related with hard working and
devotion. To develop a systematic and consistent plan for promoting the
research culture and quality assurance in varsities is need of hour.
He
stressed the participants to remain in touch with new quality assurance
methods and its implementations in educational sector for obtaining
maximum results. VC Prof. Dr. Rauf-i-Azam also admired the Director QEC
Dr. Muhammad Mansha and his team upon conducting such a successful
workshop in university.
Earlier, Director QEC Dr. Muhammad Mansha
thanked the guests as well as participants upon arrival and presented a
welcome note. Directors QEC from different universities including Punjab
University (PU), Lahore College for Women University (LCWU), University
of Engineering and Technology (UET), University of Veterinary and
Animal Sciences (UVAS), University of Management and Technology (UMT),
faculty members and other officers were also present at occasion.
