As a second group of Syrian refugees make it to Canada, a video of a children’s choir reciting Naat in Arabic to welcome the immigrants has gone viral.
The Naat ‘Tala al Badru Alayna’ was first recited by the Ansar (people of Medina who accepted Islam) for the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) when he sought refuge in Medina.

A plane carrying 163 Syrian refugees had arrived in Canada on Thursday, kicking off a drive to take in thousands from the war-torn country.
Canada’s government hopes to bring in 10,000 Syrian refugees by the end of the year.
“We will all remember this day,” Trudeau said, shortly before greeting the refugees, many of them women and children.
The first group arrived aboard a troop transport plane that set out from Beirut and made a stopover in Germany.
In the wake of last week’s mass shooting in California by a Muslim couple, and Republican frontrunner Donald Trump proposing a ban for Muslims entering the United States; rhetoric surrounding the refugees has become increasingly common.
However, the proposition by Trump has been widely criticised, leading to a petition in the UK to ban him from entering Britain.
Senior White House officials also condemned Trump’s statement, saying it was contrary to US values and interests.
